The advantages of setting up your own home daycare:
- You get to work in the comfort of your own home
- You don’t have to worry of meeting expectation of bosses or superior because you are now you own boss
- You get to spend more time with you own child
- Your own child would be able to interact and socialize with other children, this is very important as part of a child growing up process
- It gives you more flexibility in time management
- You get to have the happiness of watching you own child develop
The disadvantages of being a home daycare provider:
- You may need to get a license
- You’ll need more patient with not only your child but with someone else’s child
- You have more responsibilities in looking after several children
- You can’t take sick days or vacation unless there is a substitute
